The überNET site is relaunched, redesigned, and, unlike most sites on the internet, fully compliant with the w3.org's XHTML strict recommendation and CSS 2 specification. There are plenty of reasons why standards support is a Good Thing™, not the least being speed and future proofing [in power point format, or plain text], accessibility, and the separation of design, content, and logic. Truth be told, and acronym bashing aside, playing ball with web standards just feels right.
There is also a new section where we've grouped together web-based utilities we frequently need. Many of them are only a short trip to google away, and the validation links have been rendered slightly redundant by the web developer's extension to the amazing firefox browser. Still, it's good to know there'll always be a convenient place to check current foreign exchange rates, convert a US gallon into a litre, or calculate monthly repayment rates on a hire purchase.
